Dare to wear pleather?

I love Winter for an excuse to get out the knitwear...but it's not even that cold at the moment! I went out today without wearing my coat and it's 3 sleeps until Christmas! What is wrong with the weather?! Anyway, I went to meet Liberty for coffee and wanted an excuse to wear my super old pleather leggings. I suggested to the boyf the other day that I wear them with my big cornish fisherman jumper and he just gave me a look, and said "wouldn't that be a bit....weird?" Strangely enough I agreed with him and followed his advice to go with my green skinny jeans! Yes, that's right, I'm taking style advice from a boy (to give him credit, it's usually pretty good advice!!) ...but today....while the boyfs away....the fashionista will play!!! So...yes...I dared the pleather!! I'm always a little weary about wearing these with flats, due to the unfortunate saggy ass I seem to get with them. However, I decided to team these babies up with my new chunky Docs and this burgundy, bat wing jumper.

Although incredibly uncomfortable to wear with my Alexa rubbing against my legs and the pleater, I strangely loved this look. I felt like the pleather added a little something to the outfit that made it stand out....hopefully for the right reasons!

Green with Envy...

I know we all love a little black dress....however isn't that a little boring and cliche now? For this years, family Christmas meal I chose a bright, emerald green number! The material strangely reminds me of crepe paper! I've never really been into long dresses however this one from H&M seems to please me. I adore the glove like fit. It just slips on perfectly. I reckon it will transfer from AW11 to SS12 perfectly, it's all about the bright greens and pinks next year! Anyway, what's your opinion on the classic LBD?

Dip Dye

Hello again! Sooooo, as you can see I've had my hair chopped since you last saw me! I'm loving the sharp fringe, but I was getting a little bored of the colour so I dip dyed it again!! If you want to see how it turned out last time you can take a peek here. It's scary how much I've changed.....anyway!! I tried going for pink this time....I'm wearing pink lipstick to make it look a little more pink as it's actually turned out a very bright red!! It was supposed to last 30 washes, but in fact the colour only lasted about a week and I've been left with ombre style hair, but as I'm ginger it's very orange! Another thing I would say about it is that the bleach in it has completely frazzled the ends of my hair!! :(

How could I not be back for winter???

Wow....well it's been about 5 months since I last posted...what an awful blogger I am!!! I have just been so busy, but I want to get back into this blog properly and show you guys what I'm loving in the fashion world. Now I won't go on and on about what I've been up to for the last 5 months, but I have been to a lot of parties so I have a lot of looks to catch you up on! The first look I want to show you was for a leaving party for a lovely lady at work. Now it's not too cold but, you know me...I love a nice Autumn/Wintery look. I just love the dark colours and the heavy make-up.

It was a really lovely night. I wanted to keep the outfit dressy but casual at the same time as we were at the usual pub. I find this skirt goes with everything, I've had it for years, so it's quite difficult to get a similar one now. The colour transfers from Summer to Winter so easily. I also love the colour of my new sleeveless blouse, I'm even wearing it now, it's so versatile! Oh, and the tights, I'm in love with these, now they are my second pair as I managed to rip a huge hole in the last pair! Opps!!

Bit of a vintage theme going on on the blog this month! So I wanted to show you one last way to wear the beautiful summer dress I was sent by the lovely people at very.co.uk. I wanted to try and style it up in a vintage way, so I chose this beautiful lace vest from H&M and sheer blouse, which is also from H&M. I quite liked it with just the vest actually, it fitted in really well with the cross over straps on the back. I also really like the exposed zip down the back.

Once again I'm sporting Mac Ruby Woo on my lips, when don't I?! Oh and on a final fashion note, my bag!!! This pretty little girl is from Topshop, got her for Christmas, I think you have met a few times before!

Gaga for Mac

Well, since taking this photo, this lipstick seems to have shrunk in size due to my constant use! I love Mac lipsticks, and after falling for their Ruby Woo shade, and lusting after a nude lipstick for what felt like forever, I finally decided to head into Mac and grab one. However, how many bloody shades of nude does one store need!?!? I got help from a really pretty, lovely assistant...she looked a bit like a prettier, sober version of Ke$ha actually...hmmm. Anyway, she recommended Lady Gaga 2. I think it's actually quite orangey even though Ke$ha told me there was absolutely no orange pigment in the shade. I wasn't going to argue with her, so I bought it anyway, and I haven't been able to put it down since! I combine it a lot with my Play Stick from Benefit to create a really natural look. I really really love it, and it's definitely a fall back product when I can't be bothered with much make-up. My only criticism would be that it comes off a little too quick for my liking and I have to reapply it quite a bit.

So, I've never really been into blogging about nails, but then again I've always had super short nails...until recently that is! I can't remember why, but I was having a really crappy day so I (for some unknown reason) decided to get my nails done at this local place called Elegance Nails, if you're ever in the area you really should drop in, they're brilliant. I went for gel nails with white tips, the first photo is from when I first got them gone, they look a little funny because my nails were so short, but as they've grown the white tips have got shorter and look a lot more in proportion now!

I usually get the people at the nail salon to paint them, once I went for China Glaze Pool Party, which is like a neon pink, I didn't get any photos of it...but it was bright!!! I get a lot of compliments on my nails now, and I like them a lot more than when they were short, I can do a lot more with them, and as you can see from the photos above, I've been experimenting!!! What do you think?? I want to try and get my hands on some of those nail pens now, any ideas of where???

Well, the answer is Directions Semi Permanent in Pillarbox Red you can buy it here, however I got it from the Oasis market in Birmingham. The range of colours they do is fab and as it's only a semi I would be tempted to try something a little more daring. The only downside to this colour is when it washes out it goes everywhere and WILL STAIN YOUR BATHROOM! This is actually quite a big downside for me, but I'm sure you can find a way round it? Let me know!!!

If you've been following the blog for a while then you'll know that I actually have already had Facebook for the blog, but because of exams and things, got rid of it. But anyway, we are back! Hello lovelies! Well, I'm in full motion and blogging again! Matalan asked me to take part in their 4th Style Challenge, this time the theme being 50's Glamour! I really loved this brief and chose some really pretty clothes. As Becca from Fashion Train tweeted "the brief suits you down to the ground!" She is so right! I decided to try out a little layering with the mint vest under the dress, and it actually worked really well! I've also always really loved doing 50's hair and make-up so I tried really hard to make it look good! Oh and if you can remember what my hair looked liked all those months ago when I last blogged...well I've dyed it! But a better post on that soon!

Spin The Bottle with Play Sticks

So I haven't blogged in a while, although exams and school is over I've still been pretty busy. I've just started a new job which is really exciting, I've been doing some work experience within the company too which is also exciting, and I've met some awesome people all at the same time. I have also been clearing out my wardrobe and have a ton to put on eBay for you lovely people, I will be doing that in the next few days...or hours...so stay tuned.

But a while back I did a review on Benefits new blusher, Bella Bamba and you all wanted to see how I was getting on with their foundation, Play Sticks. I love these little sticks! They are really easy to carry round and have fab names! My shade is Spin The Bottle. Unusually for me, it is quite a light foundation and it is really great for letting your skin breathe. However it does take quite a bit of rubbing in to get an even coverage, but it's worth it! My skin looks a lot healthier and is also a lot softer recently. At around £21 I don't feel the price is actually too bad for a decent foundation, it has also lasted me quite a while, but I suppose it depends how much and how often you wear foundation, for me it is all over, everyday. Oh and it smells beautiful, like lavender!

I can't recommend this foundation enough, it is such a perfect shade. I just hate buying a new foundation in drugstores because I really dislike having to test all the different shades on your jawline! At least with benefit you have a really lovely sales assistant to help you out!

I'm sorry I haven't been around recently, "but now I'm back, to let you know I can really shake them down!" (Ok...what song is that line from!?!)

Very.co.uk 50's Summer Dress: Night Look

So as promised, I wanted to show you how to wear this beautiful summer dress from Very.co.uk at night! I really like to keep my look at night quite simple and clean, so I opted for no tights and these awesome, statement shoes from H&M Divided. They're just so chunky and delicious!! I decided to keep my hair up, however making it bigger and curlier, I positioned it a little higher on my head and swept my fringe back into a messy quiff to keep it out my eyes.

Again, I really feel that the cross strap back adds a little more detail to this dress which helps to make it something a little more special for a night out. I also really love the way the skirt flips and spins out, giving it a really cute vintage vibe.

Very.co.uk 50's Summer Dress: Day Look

I received this very beautiful, 50's style summer dress in the post the other day from the very lovely people at Very.co.uk. Now, if you have been reading my blog for a long time, you'll know that I love a good LBD, and this one is so pretty. I really love the pleated skirt and the tight bodice, it's just the right amount of sexy and cute! Now I have it in a size 12 and it fits me pretty well, a little big around the bodice, but nothing I can't sort out with a different bra! The material is also really thick so I reckon I can mix it up for winter and evenings too, so it's very versatile. My favourite aspect of this dress though is the criss-cross back! How amazing is that?! It really makes it stand out from other dresses on the market and gives it that little something extra!

I decided to style it up with a floral headband from Accessorize, sandals from H&M and my favourite day time bag from Next. I've actually never worn this headband but I think it looks really pretty for a summer look.

I really love this look, and I have a few more ways to wear this dress, so I can't wait to share these with you throughout the week! The Beatles

So this is just a super quick post to show you this new Beatles vest top from H&M. I have only tried it on and not 100% that I will actually keep it....it's just a little long and makes me look like I forgot to put my skirt on!! I like the photos on it though....my Dad was the one who pointed it out in the store actually!! It's cute, but I think in a different style it would suit me better!!

Bella Bamba baby!

So I went to Birmingham recently with my Mum, and we both went a little crazy at the Benefit counter! Opps! But...it was worth it! I picked up a few items, but I'll show you the others over the week! So first up I wanted to show you their new blusher, Bella Bamba, this is what Benefit has to say:

"Amplify cheekbones and create the illusion of sculpted features with this 3D watermelon blush. Laced with shimmering gold undertones, bella bamba is taking eye popping pretty to the third dimension...you'll never use traditional blush again!"

But what do I have to say?? I love it!! It has a really nice dusting of gold shimmer in it which helps to highlight the cheekbones and adds that 3D effect they are talking about. It's really quite bright, but if you rub it in a little it creates more of a peachy pink colour, so in a way it's really good to create different looks and I think it will transfer to Winter really nicely.

The packaging is awesome too, I really like the holographic affect it has and the bright, contrasting colours. The brush is super cute too, even though it's mini it's a nice size to cover your cheeks and even it out so you don't look too much like a doll! Unlike other Benefit blushes the lid stays attached to the box, which is helpful...i'm prone to loosing lids and other make-up extras. The mirror inside the lid is super useful too, it's great for doing eyeliner in. But also because of its overall size it acts as a little handbag mirror! Perfect!

So overall I love this product and couldn't recommend it enough!!! Oh also, how are you all liking my new blog layout???

Well I can only apologise for how moody I look!! Oh and the bruises on my thigh! Oh dear! I wanted to show you this awesome t-shirt I picked up from H&M on Saturday when I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean, it was amazing. Ohhh Johnny Depp....in eyeliner....ghaa. Anyway, this top was the last one in store and is actually a size 16, but for £7.99 I couldn't really say no!!

I also picked the shorts up from H&M a few weeks ago, I've wanted a pair of denim shorts for ages now. I really want a vintage Levis pair, but these will do for now!! Oh, and for those of you wondering I'm wearing my Mac Ruby Woo lipstick again!

Coffee with Danny Zuko...

So, if you follow me on Twitter or even some of you lovely people know me on facebook, then you may have heard that I went to Brighton a few weeks ago. I have so many photos to show you, but for now I just wanted to show you this amazing American diner we found. It's called JB's, and if you're ever down there it is worth a visit. Me and my friend went there one evening for Sundaes, I had one called Thunderbird which is strawberry, swiss chocolate and vanilla ice cream covered in strawberry sauce and whipped cream! Libby had a Maple Nut one which looked amazing, vanilla and hazelnut ice cream topped with maple syrup, whipped cream and nuts. Oh and they both had these super cute star shaped, 100 and 1000's!

Anyway, we went back the next day, where of course I had to have a classic foot long hot dog! Now, my friend is a veggie so she went for the aubergine burger, which actually looked really good! I always judge a place on it's fries....and theirs were....really good!!! The only thing that was a bummer was that I had to pay an extra £1 for fried onions....what's a hot dog without onions?!?!

But the main point of this story is, the guy we met!!! Now I love all things vintage. But this guy swaggered into the diner after we finished eating, and he looked the spitting image of Danny Zuko...he had the attitude, he had the mannerisms he even had the leather jacket! We nearly died. But being the good blogger I am....I had to go over and ask him for a photo to show you lovely people, so that last photo is for you!!! Just look at him!!! Ahh, legs like jelly! Anyway, after I sat back down, he strolled over to us!!! yes us!!! Black coffee in one hand he slumped over the table and began to ask me about the blog....yes my blog!!! The diner had those classic american booths and he told me to slide over...anyway, he sat down and then began to tell us that he is a hair model...yes a model!!!! Ghaaa....I actually did die at that moment.

Life complete.

But, then...to top it all off...he asked me for my blog address...and I got to do the coolest thing ever....I got to write my details on a napkin with a black sharpie. It was a full on movie moment....alright so it wasn't my number like a real movie....but I still felt really cool. Ahh Danny Zuko you are such a babe....

You can get your hands on them from Burlesque Shoes for around £54.95, depending on the colour etc, they come in practically any colour or design you can think of, I just chose a few of my favourites to show you, can you tell I love glitter??? The Evening Lady also stocks them, for the same price. I think I need a pair, in blue.

1. Being the Mulberry Alexa lover that I am. Imagine my face when I saw this beautiful new shade of Alexa goddessness. Bright Cabbage. Alright, the name is disgusting and not half as beautiful as Watermelon. But still...just look at it! ghaa. Beautiful. I think when I'm older I will have Alexas instead of children. Just Sayen.

2.Well, this whole wish list is actually based around the bag. But this dress from Topshop is pretty sweet. I think £29 is pushing it a little bit for a summer dress but it is pretty and you could pretty much live in it all summer long! The colours are really on trend too...and it reminds me a little of a fruit salad!

3. Oh and these beauties from Zara! I love the chunky heel and the bright colours. Shame there's not a wedge on the front of the shoe...but still lush. They would look amazing with the bag, or even the watermelon shade.

4. At my new job, they are selling hair garlands really similar to this one from River Island. I think they are really pretty and would look awesome with really long messy hair. Shame mines not long enough!!!

5. Well there's always a Mac lipstick on my wish list at the moment. I think I just want a huge collection! I'm not sure what shade this is, but it's pink and would clash with the bag pretty well.

6. Ohh and finally these amazing 50's/60's style sunglasses! Just look at them. It's crazy how much I need them. £9.99....not bad! They would be amazing with big blonde hair.

How to wear fruit...yes fruit...

Well, when I started this blog, I never thought I would be telling you how to wear fruit!

1. So, i wasn't really open for the idea of wearing any type of fruit, but these shoes are sooo kitsch! Don't you just love them??? They're pretty good if you want to be a little more subtle with this trend....however at £1265 I think you may need to be a little more than committed to this trend....

2. Bananas as a necklace. Alright, not everyones taste. But, again it's a subtle salute to this SS11 trend! It could double up for fancy dress too! But for only $20 it's not too bad if you feel like you want to add a bit of colour to an outfit!

3. I don't really do yellow, or high necks but I think I was struggling to find anything fruity by this point. This really is a full on, in your face way of tackling the trend. However, if you look at the styling here on the ASOS site, it actually looks pretty good! Also, for only £18 it's a pretty good way of dealing with this trend which is likely to only be around briefly.

4. This cherry dress is by far my favourite, I'm not really a banana on my clothes kinda girl. But I do live tea dresses and this one is really sweet for spring.

5. Oh and lastly, the classic apple sunnies!!

I will admit, this was a pretty difficult trend to research....anyway, I think that we have Katy Perry to thank for this trend...see! Thanks Katy....thanks. Have any of you tried out this trend yet? Any tips!!?!?

Birmingham in Film

So I've had some requests to see more of my photography work, so I thought I would show you this lovely shoot! I got my coursework grade today and got an A!! Yay!!!! Sooo happy! Anyway, I did this shoot in Birmingham on the day that me and my mate went to see Taylor Swift. I used one of those really basic disposable cameras but I think it worked pretty well. I quite like the dull and grungy colours.

I also made sure I included some shots of what I was wearing for you fashion lovers! In the top photo I'm on the right as you look at it. My dress was from H&M in the sale, the cardi was from there too. Bag is from Next, I can't find it on the site, but here is a similar one. I was also wearing really sheer tights and black knee high socks, but you can't see them! :( Sad face!

ModCloth: Glamourous Prom

Well I did promise you some more Prom tips!! Has anyone sorted their dresses yet?? I chose to look at ModCloth this time, I've never ordered anything from them but I love gazing at their beautiful site.

1. Ok, so my Prom has been and gone a few years ago now, but if I was doing it again, this would be the dress for me! It's beautiful! I love the pink, with the gold threading. Oh, and the bow!! There really aren't any words to express how beautiful this is! This dress has actually been out of stock for a while now but it's back in, so check it out quick!

2. I found it difficult to find a bag on the same site as a lot of ModCloths bags are beautifully big, daytime ones. However, I came across this one and I'm in love. It's about purse sized but has a wrist strap which make it really practical for dancing at prom! I found that by taking a clutch to mine, it was really inconvenient so a strap would have been really helpful.

3. As this dress is very plain at the top I thought I'd show you some jewellery to brighten up the look a little. I'm not really a typical jewellery fan, so I chose this because it can be worn again with a cute day dress.

4. And finally the shoes!! I chose to go with something quite plain to help the dress stand out. But I also really like the sheer fabric of the straps. Overall they are beautiful!

I really like this look, and I think it will really make you stand out! Now, I know that the entire ModCloth site is in US Dollars, however they do ship to the UK, look here! It's quite simple. Ohh I wish I had Prom to look forward to again, honestly all the shopping and getting ready is more exciting than the actual party! Have you checked out my 1950's prom look yet? Well, I've been cleaning up some of my old photography sheets today and came across this drawing of Carrie Harwood from WishWishWish I did ages ago. She's so pretty, but I really don't think that this does her any justice, check out her beautiful and inspiring site. Are any of you good at illustrations? I need to practice, as you can see!

Well, I know you have all already seen this beauty in a post already, but I wanted to give it some spotlight itself. I just love this cardigan, from Topshop, for only £15 in the sale! Bargain, I know!!! I just love it, it's quite thin so is great for this in between spring/summer weather. I honestly recommend that you all get your hands on something similar, I live in it. With trackies around the house, in the car on the way to Brighton or even dressing up an LBD from H&M like this one!

Antique Hunting

Well it seems I take lots and lots of photos but I never do anything with them, well that's what my photography tutor was always telling me! But it's true in the blogging world too! I took these photos way back on Mothers day when we took mum out for lunch at an old antique barn, it was really lovely! I've got photos from the lunch too, the cafe was beautiful, but I wanted to show you these images too! You can see what I wore in this post. I would love to decorate my house with all the things here!

We just picked up a few books, and I chose one called The Visitors which I think is set in Poland about spies which seems really interesting. Oh, and mum picked up some more of the Ladybird books, I thought you would like the illustrations!

Anyway, how are you all? I'm hoping to do a giveaway soon so make sure you keep up to date. Oh also, I'm thinking of redesigning the blog and I would love any advice from you guys as I'm clueless. I would love ideas about how to style it, but also how to actually do it and work the computer and all this HTML rubbish!!!

Hello everyone!!! I'm sorry I've been so distant but if you follow me on Twitter, then you will know that I've been away in Brighton! The weather was amazing and I had an amazing time searching through all the vintage shops! I will post pictures soon, but for now I just wanted to show you my new dress....well the bottom of it anyway. I really love the Parisian print. It's from New Look if you are wondering, however I can't find it on their site so you may need to take a trip to their store. I found a similar one here though which is really pretty too.

I teamed it with a sheer blouse from H&M and an old, thick stripey top from Laura Ashley. This is really great for when it's sunny but still a little chilly! Anyway, enough about me, how have you all been enjoying the sunshine!? I will catch up with all your comments tonight! Oh, and are you all excited about The Royal Wedding tomorrow?! I know I am!!

Dip-Dyed Hair...

This is just a super super quick post as I am packing to go to Brighton tomorrow for 2 nights!! Why have I left packing till this late?!?!!? Don't expect many outfit posts, Oh SHIT!!! I need to charge my camera, and that means I need to take a different bag to the one I was planning...urghhhh!!! Stress!!!

Colour Blocking and Coral

So, by now, if you're a regular reader then you probably realise that I love the colour coral at the moment...well forever. I actually got this skirt way back last year for £15 in Topshop sale before the whole spring coral craze came about, pretty nifty purchase I think! I did find a similar one here though which is £26, but sadly not as bright! :( Last year I was wearing it with this Fred Perry shirt, however I wanted to go for a fresher look this time so I teamed it with a layered vest from H&M.

Colour Blocking the easy way...

Yes Yes Yes!! Colour blocking!!! I LOVE IT!!!

1.This dress from Zara is beautiful! It also comes in orange if you don't feel that you suit pink! But I just love pink!!! And at £25.99, for Zara it's not a bad price!!! This really is the simplest way to tackle paint box dressing!

2. Ohh, and of course you all need some pink lipstick to go with it! This is a beautiful shade from Mac called Girl About Town! I think lipstick is the perfect finishing touch to a colourful outfit, there is usually a pink for every woman, but if you want to play it safe like me then head towards the red department! It then doubles up for a vintage look!

3. I used to have a red eye-shadow from Molten Brown but I lost it and I can't find a nice red shadow anywhere! Now you may be thinking that I'm a little crazy for wearing red shadow, but no! I used to use an eyeliner brush which I had washed in warm water, then ran it through the shadow to create a red liquid eyeliner! It was my go to product! and I loved it! So imagine my dismay when I lost it! :( But finally I have found a red shadow again, all thanks to the beautiful people at Topshop!!!

4. Coloured jeans! It's insane how much I want these!!! The best ones I have found this spring are again from Zara, they really have got their colour blocking down to a T! The whole collection is amazing!! But if you're a little scared of taking on the whole colour blocking idea at once then these jeans are perfect!!

5. Or even if you are still a little worried about looking like a child just threw their crayons at you, then jewellery can be the answer. Something like this ring are great for adding a subtle burst of colour. This one is from trusty old H&M! While we're on the subject of H&M, how do you like their new website???

6. Finally, beautiful shoes!! Now I saw these for real in Topshop yesterday and I'm sorry to say that they are not actually as bright as this image...still fab though!!!! I just love shoes to add a bit of colour into an outfit!!!

I can't tell you how much I love my new top from Famed101.com. It's just....just...awesome! I have to thank the beautiful Becca for this one! You can get one here for only £3.99!! I also really love this one, it's very gothic and vampiry! I wore this to photography the other day with my grey jeggings, but I was going up to school today so I teamed it with my trusty H&M body con skirt and tied the ends of the shirt together.

I really love this look and it's become my fall back outfit if I can't find anything to wear. I know that I've been into brights at the moment but it's always good to have something like this to fall back to :)

Getting Ready for Summer evenings...

Looks like it's time for another wish list!

1. On my way to see Katy Perry a few weeks ago, (she was amazing by the way!) a girl hopped on the train in this figure skater dress, and it was beautiful! It's a lot brighter in real, this photos just does not do it justice! It was so bright and the print was amazing! I saw it and thought I need that! Anyway, while cruising Topshop.com I found it! It's £29 which I didn't think was too bad for Topshop, but seriously, just go in and try this on...it was love at first sight!

2. Next up, those shoes! Ghaaa, ever since I saw them in Selfridges I knew I needed them! It's a lot of love at first sight fashion this week! But these Vivienne Westwood Melissa's' are beautiful and not to mention practical! To be honest I love the whole collection, including the heart heels, but I would wear these everyday! But unfortunately these brown ones aren't available any more :'( so I found these pink ones which are as equally as beautiful, but my faves are the ones with the gold bows which come in white, pink and blue.

3. Ah, Topshop make up, well, to be honest I chose this Cheek Duo as the colours went with the other items! But now I realise how clever it is to put a bronzer and a blush in the same pot. Genius! I also love this nail colour in Causing A Stir, even if I do have really short nails at the moment :( I saw the guy that does my nails today and I was texting my friend, he smiled at me, glanced at my nails then gave me a death stare! Opps! All my gels fell off a few weeks back and I was scared to go back and pay £30 for a new set!!! You can see the clean gels in this post...

4. I love the colour of this top, but I really don't think it would suit me. I reckon it would look pretty sweet with wet look leggings. It's from Topshop.

5. I always have some love for tortoise shell sunnies. They go with everything! I love these ones, Topshop again!! I've got a wayfarer style pair that I literally found on the street! I'm such a cheap skate!! But I thought that you might prefer these ones! I've got some sunnies to show you in another post, so stay tuned!!

I hope these warm shades of orange get you in the summer evening mood! It's 8:30pm and not even fully dark yet. You've got to love Summer. Oh and i've just reached 300 followers! I love coral at the moment and I really wanted to brighten up this outfit even more with a blast of electric blue glittery nails!! The blouse I'm wearing is from New Look but I couldn't actually find the link on their site, so I found an equally beautiful one on H&M which is in the sale! Woo!!! I love that top! And I'm so sorry I forgot to get any whole outfit photos so I've had to show you through my collaging skills!!

I'm really not sure why it has taken me so long to tell you about these babies! But look at how truly amazing they are!! I've always had a thing for Converse, I remember getting my first pair from Florida, USA, a classic baby pink pair. Then I got the limited edition Cow Print which I wore till they died :( I then "borrowed" my mums black pair which I like to call vintage! But they are pretty much on their last legs now too :( I then finally invested in a very new pair of my own! In bright pink! I really love these ones and just like to sit and gaze at their beauty!

But just a few weeks ago I purchased the most amazing converse I have ever, ever owned. I knew once I saw these on the internet months back I had to have them! I love Batman, well any superhero. But when the woman in my local Converse shop told me about the collaboration with DC Comics I knew I had to have them! I chose these ones because they're black and will go with pretty much everything but I also love how well it makes the graphics stand out. This pair comes not only with black laces but the additional white Joker laces, which is great, although I'll probably only ever wear the black ones!

I really can't express how amazing these are in words, that's why there are so many photos!! I hope you love them too, and I'll put them into an outfit soon so you can see how to wear them for different occasions, I usually team them with a dress for a more casual look. Matalan: 1950's Prom!

Ah Prom! I had mine 2 years ago, but I remember how crazy everyone got about trying to find a dress and the shoes, oh and the bag! Ohh and don't forget the transport! But with only a few weeks to go now, I thought I'd give you some ideas, at a budget price! Woo for Matalan!!!

1. Ok so first up is this beautiful 50's style prom dress, and you can get it here for only £25! £25 for a prom dress is fantastic, and it could even double up for a wedding or just a summer afternoon! Ok, so maybe it's not quite prommy enough for you...then get one of these specially made net petticoats to slip underneath to add a little more omph to that 50's style! £36! But the dress is pretty cheap, so all together you get a prom dress for £61 not bad if you ask me!

2.Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Always a difficult one, now mine where from Next and I've never worn them again, mainly because I managed to smear foundation over them :( But I found some similar ones here, they're a lot cheaper too than mine where. These are £16 and I just really love the cream colour because it will go with absolutely anything!

3. And lastly, a bag! Now my problem at prom was trying to dance with a clutch bag! A nightmare! So here I've chosen one that you can just throw over your shoulder and not worry about! This bag also comes in black, but obviously cream goes a lot better with this outfit. Now I know that I was going for a really girly theme here, but I feel the studs give a little edge! I can't find a link on the site so you may need to go in store!

I really hope this helps, but I'm planning on doing a few of these over the weeks leading up to prom, mainly just because I've seen so many beautiful dresses that I would love to share with you! I hope you are all having a lovely day!

A quick run to photography class...

An actual outfit post! I know! Ok well it's not the best outfit ever but I was just about to run to Photography class! Anyway, I love this dress which was £19.99 from H&M. I haven't worn it in a while now, but it's so versatile, like I can dress it up or play it down like this. But it is definitely my fall back item when I don't know what to wear. Sometimes I wear one of those lumberjack shirts over the top and tie it to add a little more shape.

I've also fallen for shoving one of these bandannas in my hair, just because it means I don't have to straighten it! Yep, this is my natural hair, pretty dull! Well I put a little hairspray into the roots to add volume! Anyway, I got this bandanna from Rokit in London, for £2.

Oh and finally, I went for a bit of a 50's look with the make up which I love. I've been using that new Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner. Which at first I hated because it was coming out really faint and grey....then I realised....opps not enough product on the brush!!! But I love it now! It was also only £7.99 and it's lasting me forever! Oh and my fall to lipstick when I'm having a rubbish day is RubyWoo by Mac. I feel like I have to say RuuuuubyyyWoooooo! whenever I tell people what it is!

Spring Wish list...

So, I thought I would throw a little wish-list together of what I'm lusting after at the moment:

1.I've been in love with Jeffery Campbell shoes for a while now, I'm currently torn between these platform boots and the black suede wedge ankle boots! Both are lush but I just can't decide! I found a similar pair to the ankle boots in New Look for just £24.99!

2. I'm really loving this Whistles pleated skirt, which comes in either a knee length for £95 or a mid length for £110, which is great because I'd go for the mid length! It also comes in two other colours, lemon and pale blue! But to be honest, I think the price is a little too high, and plus you have to be on a waiting list for any chance of getting one! But I found this one from Topshop in a dark red which is so lovely and gothic for just £58. But if you prefer the knee length like me then Topshop also do a really kitch, pop art bright red one for just £35!!

3. Now Mac has brought out this lovely new range called Quite Cute, and its so ready for Spring! My favourite piece from the collection is this creamy lipstick in PlayTime. But if that's a little out of your price range then BarryM do a very similar colour called BabyPink.

4. Haaave you met Ted? I really hope I'm not the only one, but I seem to be fixated with How I Met Your Mother. I've just finished watching Season 4 and I need to get Season 5. I don't know what it is about it, but watching an episode a night before bed just seems to help me sleep! It makes me feel all happy and it's one of the very few programs that I actually laugh out loud at! Anyway, those of you who are slightly obsessed like me, then you will know the reference to the yellow umbrella, but for those of you who don't...well I don't want to spoil it! But I love this umbrella from Topshop for £18, it's just a really cute colour and i think it will be perfect for those April Showers! Ohh how I need a yellow umbrella!

5. Next up, have you seen the new colour of the Alexa?!? Watermelon!!! It's beautiful! I've been uming and ahhing over my favourite Alexa colour for a while now, but this is it! I need it!! And if I was ever lucky enough to have one, I would need the oversized one as I seem to cram a lot into my bags! The only, slightly huge downside is that it is £914 and I can't seem to find a similar, cheeper version anywhere on the web! The mini one is £506....time to go cry in a corner....

6. Annnnd finally, I found this super cute underwear set in the New In section on Topshop.com (yes, there has been a lot of Topshop oggling today!) Anyway, I just love the floral print and I really do need some new underwear to brighten up my wardrobe! The bralet is £20 and the briefs are £6...not too bad considering the price of nice underwear today!

Another item I bought from F21 back in January ready for the Spring! It's actually kind of loose fitting, but I teamed it up with tights here just because it's still cold at the moment!! I really love the geometric print but I found it really difficult to choose a top to team it up with...looking at the photos I really should have gone with this jumper instead. But I chose to go with this draped vest from H&M because the same colour was in the skirt. Also, I hardly ever have my hair like this, but I couldn't resist including this silk scarf my mum got me when she was away just because all the colours go so well together!

Spotlight: A Pocket Full Of Rosie

So, I haven't been blogging recently, sorry! But I hope that you are all feeling lovely! Now, it's time for my next Spotlight post, this time the beautiful Rosie from A Pocket Full Of Rosie! She is such a lovely girl and is studying Photography for Fashion and Advertising at uni and so her blog focuses a lot on daily fashion, gigs, her boyfriend and her beautiful room-mates.

I really love how "wearable" her outfits are, they are beautifully casual but the colours remind me of the pages of a comic book. She really does have a lovely collection of dresses and I can't wait to see more as the summer approaches!

A lot of people have been complaining recently that there are too many expensive fashion blogs, but I really feel that Rosie inspires me how to reuse high street fashion to create new and exciting outfits! But to top it off, she is just such a lovely blogger, so drop her a comment!

What a crazy week....

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't been around in a while, but it's been a bit of a crazy week with all this photography coursework and other things :( But I just thought I'd share with you what little has happened this week...I sorted out my finals for the photography coursework, which looks like this:

It's not stuck down yet, hence the messiness of it! I also dyed my hair at the beginning of the week, Stargazer pink...but it's more maroon coloured...it looks way nicer in this photo than real life. I'm also working on a new blog spotlight post, so that will be up soon.

I'm off to Manchester Met Uni on wednesday for an applicant visit day. Any of you lovely people going?

London Fashion Week: Osman AW11

In all honesty, I had never heard of Osman until yesterday when Twitter was suddenly ablaze with comments about the show! But Osman, himself is the most adorable man I've ever seen, you know the type that you would be more than happy to buy beautiful clothes from. And I must admit the catwalk is beautiful, like a huge splash of electric blue watercolour poured all over the stage.

In a similar sense to my previous post on Mulberry AW11, Osman has settled on a mixture of textures, from glossy leathers to beautiful furs. Again, I love the mix of darker palettes and the colours, however this time Osman has decided to follow the lead of Furstenberg and throw brilliantly bold, garish brights all over his garments. However if you, like myself, aren't really one to go for all over block colours, then maybe my favourite item from this collection would be perfect for you. It's the two tone cape. I just love how it's black and so would go with everything in my wardrobe, however it was that gorgeous flash of sweetie coloured orange! Although the white, A-line dress with the "spillage" of electric blue down the front is another winner for me.

Osman, is fast becoming a favourite of mine. What do you think of the bold, block colours?

London Fashion Week: Burberry AW11

A fashion first. Burberry streamed their AW11 live from London's Piccadilly Circus. We saw all of the usual fashion crowd arriving, including the beautiful Alexa Chung and Anna Wintor. The show was beautiful with a soundtrack of Adele's Someone Like You and Dusty Springfield's You Don't Have To Say You Love Me. It was so beautifully elegant. The show itself started and concluded with a flurry of snowfall over the celebrity, fashionista and journalist clad front row.

Similarly to other shows this week, Burberry was made up on a bold, bright colour section, camels and black and white. But on a similar note to Topshop's Unique AW11 collection yesterday, Burberry sported an extremely similar dalmatian looking fur coat. But there were a lot of coats and in some sense it reminded me of that worn in Clueless.

The oranges carried a warn autumnal glow, mused with rich reds and royal purples. The only thing that I was disappointed with this show was just how skinny the girls legs were. Not good Burberry. Not good.

London Fashion Week: Mulberry AW11

Well it seems that one of my favourite designers has played it safe this year at London Fashion Week, however we must remember that this is what we love about Mulberry. They always produce the goods that we can wear right now. The tones of camels and golds bring a fresh look to AW11, mixed with glamour but still the playful knee-highs of school girls and summer days.

The quilted dresses bring a refreshing look to the texture favoured by many fashion bloggers last year on their Chanel bags, maybe the next craze will be quilted dresses. Then again, we might to leave it to the bags and the coats. The shades of black and grey do restrain the texture slightly, however I'm more of a fan of the embellished grey neck dress. I reckon this will be big trend this AW, subtle but still shows the glamourous business woman. Perfect switch from day at the office, to Chirstmas party.

Oh, and the fresh burst of colour is such a relief. I am one to stick to blacks, greys and browns, but these colours are beautiful. We all know how it has been hammered into us that block colours are so in this SS, but don't you agree that the colours of Diane Von Furstenberg could be seen as a bit too garish for all our skin tones? I love how Mulberry has toned this down and added subtle two tone textures to create a very vintage yet modern twist. What do you think of this fresh palette from Mulberry or do you prefer the brights of SS11?

London Fashion Week: Topshop Unique AW11

Well, it seems that it is all about dalmatians at Topshop's Unique AW11 collection today at London Fashion Week. The show took place today at 3:00pm, Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Nicola Roberts and Anna Wintor could all be found amongst the camera-clad front row. The dalmatian theme does somewhat remind me of a monotone polka-dot dress in Luella's show in 2009...

Almost similar, you agree? You know how this AW we had the fur coat and red lipstick craze, well I have a feeling that Topshop are pioneering the way towards faux fur dalmatian coats pulled together with a black lip and a cute button nose. However, we also can't ignore the mixture of lace amongst this dominating look. As a nation we seem to be falling back to lace time and time again, maybe because of it's versatility to suit the rock chick goth or even the picnicking girlie in the hight of SS11? How will you be wearing Unique AW11? Do you reckon this dalmatian print will catch one. I'm not sure, but I have a feeling those cute Disney jumpers and heavy liner will though...right who's ready for the Osman show next?

England really is quite bland with Valentines, and I never really hear of any nice stories about it around here. It might just be another day, but I feel it's the day you should have the courage to say what you've wanted to for a long time, whether it's love...or just anything. Just do it. After all, it is Valentines Day.

The RSC Tower

So, as I was saying in my post a few days ago, a couple of Sundays ago, me and Libby had a tourist day in Stratford, we went to Nero and then thought that we'd pop down to the Courtyard theatre to see if they had any tickets left for the very last show of Matilda, A Musical, but of course they didn't! So we wandered down to the main theatre to book some tickets for the 50 anniversary celebrations, they are showing the complete works, and there's a lot that we want to see!

It's funny, I've recently acquired a strange love for out theatre and basically just the town itself...I'm not even sure why....maybe it's because I might be moving away to uni in 7 months...? Well, anyway, our theatre has just had a huge revamp and it looks amazing! They also built this humongous tower, that looks a little like something from War of The Worlds, but it's just totally awesome and you can see the whole of Stratford from there! It's like a model village! As you can see, we went up when the sun was starting to set and it was absolutely beautiful.

Spotty bows and souffles...

My parents went away last weekend and so I had the house to myself, with no siblings, Friday night, was quite literally a night by myself. I watched Have you Heard About the Morgans, Nick And Norah and Hairspray. I swear Friday night TV is just awful. So anyway, after watching Hairspray I finally went to bed and got up super early to tidy my room the next day; and I found this hair band that I bought in New Look a few weeks back, it was pretty cheap, but it's just so damn useful! It's quite thick, and as my fringe is just getting out of control at the moment, it's really good at keeping that back!

Then on Saturday my friend came over and we indulged in these super cute souffles from Marks and Spencer, Take Me Out, Magicians and of course...High School Musical! Man, I'm pretty sure I'm really about 7 years old! Anyway, those were super yummy, and the next day we had a bit of a tourist afternoon around our own town, and as it was the last day that Matilda, a Musical was in town, we got a little sad! But, I'll show you that in another post!

Carrie's Beehive...

So, as a lot of you probably know already, the beautiful Carrie from WishWishWish posted a fabulous tutorial on how to get her signature Beehive style. Naturally I'm getting sick of my hair and so, I had to give it a go, and the results? It was super easy to follow and looks fab! I didn't back comb it as much as Carrie instructed, just because I don't own a comb, and also I wasn't quite ready to rock the full look. But it did look great, and most importantly saved me a lot of time that morning.

Anyway, I bought this dress in the sale from the beautiful store in my town, Aspire. It's such a lovely shop, and this dress was a steal at about £14. Yep, I've been good with the bargains at the moment. The tights are from Marks and Spencer, ages ago, but yes M&S that's right! I was shocked too, anyway, check out more details on Lookbook, when it decides to upload!

I love you Matalan

I received a rather lovely package from Matalan today! Including their Summer 2011 lookbook, this beautiful dress and a gorgeous brown satchel. For now, I just wanted to show you this dress. Now, when I opened it my automatic reaction was, wow, that's lush...but I don't do maxi. This is a completely different look for me, and I totally LOVE it! It will be fab for summer.

My favourite aspect of this dress are the sleeves, they are just so floaty! The pattern is really different too, I love the blue tone mixed with the grey. It feels a lot more Topshop to me, I never expected something so lovely from Matalan, I am impressed! And, I can tell you I will definitely be going to our local Matalan soon! It also, somewhat, reminds me of something the Olsen twins would wear...I just love it! It's a brilliant price too, at only £24

I'm simply impressed...and I can't wait to show you the bag in another post, along with some of the lovely items from their Summer 2011 Lookbook. Wow, Matalan, you've simply outdone yourself! I may be in love!

Yes, I went to see Matilda. Again!

Hello everyone! Seems like I haven't blogged in forever, and the truth is I haven't really. I've been super busy, organising a recycled fashion show for charity (which happened today, and hopefully I'll get some photos up soon!) I also had a lovely weekend off where I explored our newly renovated RSC theatre and it's huge tower! OH, and of course, I went to see Matilda, a Musical again, it's fabulous. I didn't meet anyone this time, but to be honest, I left pretty swiftly as I didn't want certain members of the cast thinking I was stalking them! haha, I have seen it a lot!

Wednesday: Holocaust memorial Lecture

So, on Wednesday, me and my friend caught the train to Wolverhampton Uni for their Holocaust Memorial Lecture. It was amazing. They had Ruth Barnett talking about her time during the holocaust as she was sent to England from her home and family in Germany for safety. It was really interesting, you can find her book here.

Also, I have absolutely fallen in love with this dress. It's so beautiful and so easy to wear. Again, for any more details, you can find them all here on Lookbook. Yes I am in love!

Friday: Matilda at the RSC

Yes, I saw Matilda at the RSC in Stratford! I wasn't really too fussed about seeing it at first, but after my friend had been 3 times (yes 3!) and everyone in town kept saying how amazing it was, she grabbed us up some tickets as my Christmas present! I'm amazed she managed to get any as it's now sold out

I don't want to give too much away about it, but it was absolutely fantastic. The children in the cast are the cutest, they nearly made me cry and the music by Tim Minchin was just awesome. Now, I've seen a fair few musicals, but Matilda is definitely a contestant for my top spot! I madly want to see it again, but as it finishes at the end of this month AND it's sold out, I highly doubt that will happen.

Ok, so I've just delated everything about the story on this post, because I know no one would be bothered to read it, which actually really does upset me. So anyway, I met Marc Antolin from the cast:

Just another day at school...

Quite a boring outfit post from Friday. I really couldn't be bothered to wear something nice so I just threw on my comfy clothes, and boy did it feel nice! I was going to the RSC theatre that evening to see Matilda so I really couldn't be bothered to wear much make up during the day either! I was so lazy! Anyway, I have lots of posts lined up because I've been doing to much! On wednesday I went to Wolverhampton Uni for a memorial Holocaust lecture which was really interesting. Friday, I went to see Matilda, so I have an outfit post for that and I want to tell you all how amazing it was!!!

Spotlight: Baubles, bangles and beads

So it's my second spotlight post, and this time I've decided to focus on the lovely Stephanie from Baubles, bangles and beads! Now, she's a fairly new blogger but she certainly is leaving a fab impression on me!

I absolutely adore her vintage style, and you can even get a piece of it through her Etsy store! Her finds are so beautiful and she pieces them together perfectly. A fantastic balance of modern edginess and vintage class really hits the spot for me.

Her photographs look extremely professional yet you can still see her amazingly playful side! I find it really difficult to photograph clothes on myself but I really aspire to capture images like her. I also aspire to have a wardrobe as vast as hers!! I love the mixture of jewellery she has, which she also mixes up with knitwear to create a perfectly sophisticated, cozy look.

Boho and frills

Well, another outfit post, I must be on a roll! ha, no I just have a lot of new clothes that I haven't blogged about yet! Anyway, again you can see all the details and about where everything is from right here on my lookbook :)Hype if you like! I'm really enjoying blogging at the moment and I just find it really relaxing to sit down for an hour a night and get all the photos together, type and flick through all your blogs.

I've found some really lovely bloggers at the moment, I was about to link them all and then realised there's a lot, so I'm going to take another hour out and do a post about them. Buying too much....

So, again, just an update through photos. I'm currently sitting in bed munching on a bacon sandwich, doing very little. But I've bought so much recently, that I haven't shown you, I needed to put it all into one post! Anyway, currently I'm waiting on the return of offers from UCAS. I feel like I've been waiting for years when in reality it's only a few days, and I'm checking my track literally every hour...I think I may actually die if I get an offer! haha

You can find a mixture of bold, bright graphic prints with beautifully detailed jewellery.
